HodgePodge Blog

The last few days have been a hodgepodge of activities with no common theme except for some funny pictures...

Jack is responding to touch and textures now. We were playing with the bear his GG Lawrence got him and he was laughing :)
Apparently winter includes March now? It snowed all day Friday - which is a big deal to us Texans. Here it was starting to stick about 2pm...

And this was about 6pm. Owen LOVED the snow, once he figured it out. Of course he was scared of it at first, but then once he conquered his fear of the deadly snow he was zooming around the backyard. Can't say the same for the weenies...it was along day trying to get them to use the "facilities" outside.

And this is what we woke up to. It looks like a Christmas Card!

Nonnie & Pop gave Jack this toy chest from Pottery Barn Kids as a housewarming gift. Well, I guess to justify the price, it is a multifunction toy chest and also doubles as a toddler desk. We set Jack up to it to see if he would fit...you decide?

Here is the finished product. We love it and considering mom and I didn't even see it when we bought it, I think we did pretty good! Thanks Nonnie & Pop. We need to write on the front a warning message for the dog's to stay out - Jack's toys only!

"Hunk-le" Chris and Mairin gave Jack this "Rocking Dog" for Christmas. Jack is starting to notice the world around him, including Rock Dog. He loves to stare at him and it is nearly impossible to break him from it. Can't wait to see him ride it in a few months!
And here is another dog, this one slightly more crazy than the stuffed one. We got a new storm door installed yesterday. Well, not thinking, I let him out of his cage without opening the storm door portion of the door. Owen, in true fashion, took off full speed and ran right into the glass nose first followed by his backside. Ah I died laughing. Of course he was PETRIFIED of the door after that, so I had to leave it open to "teach" him that it was ok. I swear these dogs! Let me point out that the weenie dogs had no problem mastering this skill. Here he is enjoying the sun recovering from his crash.
Hugs. Jack loves to stand up/push up now. So he decided to give Daddy a hug while he was up there. Sweet!

And then finally, Nonnie & Pop sent Jack an Easter basket via UPS style yesterday. It had bunny books, a kids Bible, a new Easter outfit, and this great Easter toy. Jack thought this was so neat and was laughing at it earlier in the day. Here he is grabbing for it. It is so fun to watch him grow and develop!

And finally a little business to attend to. Summer tagged me. So I will respond appropriately with abbreviated answers since this is a long long blog. Told you it was hodgepodge!

I was 16 with bad eyebrows and a nissan sentra. That abouts sums that up.

Things on my to-do list...

-find Jack a new Pediatrician, Pilates at 6pm, buy picture frames, sell house in Texas, laundry, clean my house, finish unpacking, pick up Jack's prescription, make the brownies on the cover of this month's Cooking Light, and call my grandmas

What would i do if I became a Billionaire...

I try not to imagine these scenarios and to be happy with what I've got so I don't have a fabulous answer. Lets say payoff houses, give, and buy a few fabulous things...oh and keep a stylist and hairdresser on staff so I never have those Mississippi moments!

3 Bad Habits...

being too cheap, doing laundry and then leaving it in the basket, not filling up with gas when i am on empty and waiting until the absolute last moment to get gas or until Nathan fills it up for me :)

5 jobs that I have had...

1. Pharmaceutical Sales rep 2. Sales rep for Concentra Medical Centers 3. Operations Manager for Additional Kare for Kids 4. Being a monkey for Travelers Insurance 5. HEB where I met my hubby ;0

5 things people don't know about me...

I am skipping this one because Jack is waking up...blame it on him :)

haha add "blog obligation escape" to the long list of pros of having a baby! =) and Bailey (my boxer) wouldn't go outside in the rain to go potty. The snow a few wks ago-she was fascinated with, but the rain...wasn't happening. She ran outside long enough to pee but the #2 didn't come until almost 9pm! Crazy dog and her avoidance of the downpour! :) TMI?
