Grandparents

The main mission of our trip to San Antonio was to see my Grandparents and let Jack spend sometime with them. Since Grandma and Grandpa are 86 and my other Grandma is 79, traveling to Memphis is out of the question. I have always been close with them and want Jack to get to know them as well, so it was well worth the trouble to get down there and see them.

We got to visit Grandma and Grandpa a few times and Jack slipped right into his role as the only spoiled Great Grandson. He just loved their attention and fuss...oh and did Grandpa make a fuss. About everything! Sitting in the chair to eat lunch, and using forks, and slipping him cookies. Grandma is a little more level headed, but Grandpa is a softie for his grand kids (and I know this first hand having been the only granddaughter and recipient of his attention for 28 years). Here are some pictures...they just melt my heart and make the hard trip all worth while!

We were also able to go over to Grandma's house for a long visit. Now, her house is filled with Jack's absolute favorite thing, animals. Her dog Jasmine and several cats were so excited to see Jack and the feeling was mutual. Again, the spoiling of the great grandson began as soon as we walked through the door. She had a pile of toys and food waiting for him! Jack LOVED Grandma's backyard and played nonstop for several hours. And as you can see from the pictures below, Grandma's passion and love for animals has definitely passed down to Jack!

Very cute. I like all the animals- what a cool grandma to visit. Plus, it is funny how you look NOTHING like your brothers. Travis and I were amazed. They are so much darker than you and your parents. It's funny.

Those pictures are priceless. What great memories for Jack to have when he is older.

PS... I loved the huncle entry. Special connection between aunts/uncles & neices/nephews. And by the way I agree with Andrea - you don't look like your brothers at all. I hope you are feeling good. Not too much longer for baby #2 - a couple months right?
