Dog Parade

While we were in San Antonio, the city was celebrating it's annual citywide celebration of Fiesta. To all non-San Antonians, this is just a big excuse to party, eat lots of fattening food, and look ridiculous all week - I love it! Since I am ginormously pregnant and not much into taking Jack into large crowds of drunk people when it is hot, we stuck to a lesser known event on Saturday morning - a dog parade. Perfect for Jack and not hot or crowded for me. We had so much fun and let me tell you there were some ridiculous looking dogs there. Aunt Patti and her dog, Gino, and Jimmy and his dog, Biggie, came with Nonnie & Pop and Schatzie and us (we left Cami at home since she gets a little crazy around other dogs).

Jack thought he was part of the parade. The boy has no fear of any dog - he would walk out into the middle of the parade and up to any dog, no matter the size. I tell you, he will do something with animals with his life - this is not normal! Hopefully, he won't leave me and go to Africa to lead safaris in the bush. Although, he did watch an entire episode of Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet this week, which is probably the least interesting show on that channel, so Africa might not be too far out of the picture for him. I better get prepared. An Epp family favorite, the Oscar Myer Wiener dogs.

The next two pictures represent the general ridiculousness of Fiesta. If you had any questions, they should be answered by these pictures....

I still have 2 more San Antonio posts left. One of our little family Fiesta we had at the house, complete with a pinata and all, and one of our visit with Nana and Grandad. And then I promise to stop boring you all with San Antonio. Not that we are doing a whole lot around here to blog about....

This is absolute greatness! :) What's better than Fiestas and dogs? Not much, I say. Not much.
