People let me tell you about my best friends...

Ok so I am stealing the title from Christine, but it just fits so perfectly. Jack has 2 favorite things in this world. I wish I could tell you they were me and Nathan, but no such luck. Jack loves, in the following order, 1)his bear and 2)Owen. You would think Nathan and I would make the list, but it is kind of unnatural for your Mom and Dad to be your best friends, or at least that is how I rationalize being given the boot by an inanimate object and a 4 legged creature. It is what it is.

Well, we accidentally left bear in San Antonio. Tragic, I know. Nonni and Pop mailed him back to us and he arrived yesterday. I tell you I have never seen Jack so happy in my life as when he saw bear for the first time in 6 days. He ran right up to him and gave him kisses, aka biting Bear's nose.
Then he proceeded to tell bear everything that he had done in the last week in Jack babble. This went on for about 15 minutes. After that, he took bear and got in his car where they played until nap time.
So happy to have bear home. Look at that smile, you can't fake that kind of happiness. Jack then took a nice 2 hour nap with his friend and even slept in until 8:30am today -it must be true love.

Later in the day, after the excitement of Bear's return, Jack decided to spend some QT with his other BFF, Owen. In the last few days, Jack has started to lay on Owen. He will get in his face and play with him a minute and then snuggle up on him or right next to him. It is the cutest thing in the world. These aren't the best pictures, because we never seem to have the camera around when he does it and if you get up to get it, Owen will follow you and then there is no more picture. Nathan happened to be up yesterday and caught a few pictures.

So I was just changing my layout and I had this same one! I changed mine, you're welcome. :) At least Jack didn't pick another person for his best friend over you. When Luke is with Grandpa he won't even smile at me.

How cute! I love the new background too. That's great Jack is attached to his bear. Apparently (from all my reading) having a "lovie" at this age is a sign of independence and growth. Go Jack! He could join in with Sterling who takes "B" everywhere and is especially fond of feeding Greta-doggie at the kitchen table.

When I was about...oh, let's say 16, I forgot my bear, Snowden, at home when I went to summer camp. My mom mailed me to him. Sad, but true.
