Hello Old Friend

Hi friends - sorry it has been awhile since I last updated. Jack and I went to San Antonio for 10 days to help my mom recover from her shoulder replacement (ouch!) and didn't have a lot of time to update. And you wouldn't believe how much Jack has changed in that time. He now pulls up on anything and everything very fast without a struggle, holds on with one hand and even tries to balance at times, has started to cruise just a bit, and best of all, gives sloppy open mouth kisses and hugs. Now it wasn't all work in San Antonio, we had some fun too...

Nonnie & Pop set up this play pin for Jack, appropriately dubbed "Jack's World" since their house is a death trap for crawling babies.
Great Grandpa spruced up Mommy's baby rocking chair for Jack.

Of course Jack took to the rocking right away....

...and we got some time in with the Great Grandparents....

Pop installed the official "Grandparents Swing" in the back yard for Jack. Pop is testing the weight limit - I think it will hold!

Our patient even got in on the fun once she was feeling better.
Nonnie & Pop also set up one of my childhood favorites, the backyard baby pool. After swinging Jack would cool off in the pool in the buff - who needs a swimsuit in the backyard!

Drying off with Pop - Look how big my baby looks!

A much needed visit from Uncle Jimmy and Biggie! Jack could hardly contain his excitement for Biggie.
This was one of their favorite games....

We of course made it to the real pool a few times for some "diaper dipping". Jack has really come to love swimming. He lets me dunk him under water and generally spends most of his time trying to drink the water. He loves loves loves to be thrown back and forth, and will even sit on the side of the pool and "fall" into your arms. Looks like we have a water baby on our hands!
My mom is feeling much better after this uphill battle with her shoulder. Looks like the worst is behind her and she is on the road to recovery and avoiding any roads that lead her to a ski slope! Love you Nonnie & Pop - we had a great time despite the main reason for the visit!

Very fun! It looks like Pop got lots of Jack time- that's so great. Was this the first trip without Nathan? I hope your mom is feeling better.

Glad the trip was fun. I'm praying for a healthy recovery for your mom. Can't believe how big he is and I love that he is so smiley in all the pictures!
