Spring Break

Nonnie and Pop came to visit last week for Spring Break.  We were so happy to see them and sad to see them go. Jack kept crying every time we talked about them having to leave. He even tried to stall them on Friday so they couldn't leave. Naturally, I was on his side. We snuck in an extra hour but then they had to go. We put up a good fight though and made it really hard for them to leave. Jack and Katelynn even jumped in their car and buckled up....I was tempted to jump in the trunk and go too. But now that wouldn't be very mature now would it...

The weather was a bit hit and miss at the beginning of the week which drove us to the second most annoying place on earth (behind Disneyland or World or whatever) to find yourself during Spring Break...Chuck-E-Cheese. But the kids loved it so we sucked it up and lasted 2.5 hours. The kids did have fun and that's what counts. Right?  ahem...

When the weather got better we made a stop at the zoo which is much more our style.
Nathan also celebrated his 29th birthday this week.
The rest of the week we pretty much spent at the park.

Jack is feeding the dinosaurs. So very kind of him considering their necks don't bend.

We did some light hiking while at the park, and Pop gave Jack a few pointers on camping to help him get ready for his upcoming camping trip. You know things like how to find a good stick. Serious stuff like that.

And of course they perfected the "gig'em Aggies"

It was so great to have them here and I'm already begging them to come back for another visit. Please come back already. See I'm subtle like that.
