So I always said when I have a boy I will never have to go to Bass Pro (or hunting stores in general) again. I do not like that place at all. It has to be the only retailer on earth that has nothing that I want to buy - except the cherry sours they have the good ones. And Nathan LOVES this place and always makes me go with him, which I do because I love him. But neither of us enjoys the experience, usually because I am whining. So when we had Jack we both looked at each other and just knew the situation was resolved! So we are in San Antonio this week and there is a bass pro next to my parent's house. So this was it, the big moment of father-son bonding Nathan has been anticipating - Jack's first visit to Bass Pro and my last visit releasing me from my bass pro bondage. We dressed Jack up in his camo onesie (thanks Pam & Clayton) and headed over last Sunday.
Here is Nathan pushing the stroller up to the front
Jack was fussy most of the time - hopefully he doesn't share my distain of this retailer...We finally got him to chill out in his stroller while Dad played with guns.
Not sure why this picture refuses to rotate the correct direction and I am too lazy to find out. So please turn your head to enjoy the view of Nathan at his proudest father moment thus far. He was all smiles and enjoyed having Jack there.
So long Bass Pro. It's been real. Contact me if you ever decide to sell cute shoes.

Good riddance Bass Pro! how funny. I can imagine you in there trying to have a good attitude but secretly (ok not so secretly) not being happy about it. :)))
